Welcome. DFM is committed to serving our community as providers of healthcare and medical education. Continuing in a tradition established more than 50 years ago, we strive to heal the whole family with care and compassion, from the infant to the elderly.

In our innovative education program, we endeavor to share our passion for medical education through current relevant teaching you can trust. We are proud to serve you - this is our heritage of caring.

Choosing a primary care provider is one of the most important decisions you will make in your life. Your relationship with your healthcare team of physicians, PA's, and patient care support staff is an integral component of your well-being. Our patients know this.

Please, take the time to learn about, investigate and know the primary care team you choose. We welcome your questions and encourage you to visit us and tour our facility.

We have a new team member, Joyce Koerber, PA!

Dallas Family Medicine is pleased to welcome Physician Assistant, Joyce Koerber, to our healthcare team.

Born in San Diego, the youngest of 4 daughters, she has always called the west coast home, despite childhood moves throughout the US and even as far away as Australia.

Joyce graduated high school in Syracuse, New York, and then completed her Bachelors of Science Degree in Pharmacology at the University of California at Santa Barbara. After spending time near family in San Diego and working in emergency medicine, she completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies and Child Health Associate degree at the University of Colorado at Denver, in 2010.

Joyce’s love for the diversity and continuity of family medicine resonate with DFM’s commitment to care across the spectrum of life. She finds caring for the unique needs of adolescents and young adults especially rewarding.

She loves living on the west coast and spending time outdoors hiking, skiing and exploring the great northwest.

The 2009 flu season was marked by the frightening H1N1 pandemic. Recommendations for evaluation and immunizations were changing nearly every day, challenging healthcare providers and the public to keep up! Thankfully, the 2010 flu season is projected to be generally uneventful. For the first time, the CDC is recommending the flu shot for all individuals over 6 months of age, and the 2010 flu shot includes protection against the H1N1 virus.

DFM strives to ensure vaccine availability to all our patients. Contact us today for more information. If you are ill with a fever, runny nose, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and/or fatigue and are concerned you may have the flu, make an appointment. The treatment options are limited and are most effective when used as early as possible.

The links below provide access to up-to-date and reliable information about the flu — and always feel free to call us.
