Dallas Family Medicine is aware of the public health concern posed by the 2009 H1N1 Flu and we are taking all necessary precautions to help protect our patients. Please review our newsletter for detailed information about the 2009 flu season and our worksheet to help determine the management strategy that is most appropriate for you and your family.

In general, otherwise healthy individuals who have become ill with a fever, runny nose, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and/or fatigue, can usually recover well at home, requiring only supportive treatments. However, if you are at higher risk for complications of the flu, which includes the very young, older adults, and/or those with chronic diseases, you may require additional medical support or medications and you should schedule an appointment.
